Data Foundry, Inc. is looking for a very strong Microsoft Windows Architect and Administrator. This job will require a strong foundation of advanced Windows skills that will enable the candidate to creatively design, build, and support new products and services. Must be self motivated, confident, able to independently leverage existing and new technologies to create competative and innovative application service offerings. Must not be intimidated with start to finish creative design to implementation. Must have strong foundational experience in design, administration and troubleshooting systems. Ideal candidates will have an even higher degree of Windows system architecture experience. Must be able to design an infrastructure and deploy from scratch. In addition, Data Foundry's success has largely been built upon our custom software and proprietary application enhancements. Successful candidates must be comfortable with writing scripts and programs to gather, analyze and report data for system performance metrics and accounting. Finally, successful candidates must care very much about the impact they have on our internal and external customers.

We are looking for programmers who consider themselves to be hard-core programmers in C under the UNIX environment. This includes making additions to UNIX Kernels and writing low-level applications built for speed and efficiency. Practical application of TCP/IP networking code is a must.

Candidate must have strong oral communication skills and work well individually or in a team of programmers. Experience in trouble shooting software systems is mandatory.

Degree required.

UNIX System Administration knowledge is a plus, but not required. Four or more years of software development experience in the workplace is also desired.
